Health and Safety is our First Priority.

Silent-Aire Commitment

The executive leadership team, management, and employees at Silent-Aire are committed to being an industry leader in occupational health and safety practices. We strive to maintain a safe and healthy workplace that is incident and injury-free. We believe that excellence in health and safety practices is vital to the well-being of all people everywhere and essential to all aspects of our global business.

Safety Goals

• We are committed to continuously improving our health and safety performance.
• We firmly believe that all occupational injuries and illnesses are preventable.
• We respect the diverse environments and cultures in which we operate.
• We strive to do business with companies and contractors that share our commitment to health and safety, and we regularly assess their performance.
• We support open communication between Silent-Aire and the public, and we collaborate with the scientific community, policy makers, and public interest groups that research, develop, and implement standards for health and safety protection.

Training

We take pride in our safety record, but we are not satisfied with anything less than a zero-incident workplace. We understand that achieving this goal requires a robust safety culture that involves continually adapting our thinking and actions both on and off the job. As per regulatory requirements and industry best practices, Silent-Aire ensures that safety training and certification, as well as regular refreshers and updates, are integral parts of the job. This includes training in Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), first aid/CPR, fire and driver training, and other job-specific training and certifications. In 2016, Silent-Aire launched SAM University, which provides training for all employees.

Emergency Response Plan

The purpose of the Silent-Aire Emergency Response Plan (ERP) is to establish policies, procedures, and an organizational structure for responding to emergencies. The ERP includes clear strategies and outlines the roles of various departments during the initial response and throughout the emergency. It is important to note that the plan does not restrict the use of good judgment and common sense in situations that are unforeseen or not specifically addressed by the plan’s elements. The plan and organization are subordinate to Provincial, State, and Federal plans during a disaster declaration by those authorities.

Crisis Management

Silent-Aire has established a Crisis Management Committee that meets regularly to identify and assess threats and potential crisis events, aiming to enhance our preparedness for such occurrences. We have developed comprehensive plans and protocols to manage various types of crises. As part of our preparedness efforts, we conduct tabletop exercises and live simulations to ensure prompt recovery from any crisis and the timely resumption of normal business operations.
